Objectives

Reaseheath College needed to find an Audio Visual solution for the Lapwing Building hall. The multi-purpose hall is used for lectures, exams, classes and assembly’s, so needed to ensure that the solution was able to fulfil a multitude of requirements.

The multi-use therefore meant that the hall required a projection solution to display large imagery with clear visibility across the whole space, speakers with sufficient clarity and CCTV for monitoring purposes. The hall has a dividing wall that can slide across creating two smaller rooms or one larger room. The solution needed to be robust, user friendly and be able to provide high-quality images and sound.

Solution

Within this space DWM installed an 8 speaker 2 zone sound system allowing for each room to project sound independently if needs be, or when opened up to be used as one consolidated zone. 2 high-lumen NEC projectors worked in tandem, feeding off a Kramer Matrix switch to again allow each room to be used independently or as one with minimal switching time.

DWM also fitted the newly erected building with a robust extension of the Colleges existing CAT6 network infrastructure solution, future-proofing upcoming technical requests and giving the College the ability to bold on PoE and IP devices with no extra data cabling needed.

The complete solution that DWM installed for Reaseheath meant that they have an efficient, all round solution which is clear and the perfect fit for their requirements.
