Objectives

ACO Technologies had an office relocation and took it as an opportune time to invest in a new platform for DAC (Door Access Control) which could be rolled out company-wide. The platform needed to be scalable to facilitate a wider roll out but initially to be managed centrally and locally which required physical installation and integration elements to be carried out at Shefford site.

IP Control was essential to allow progressive and forward thinking implementation whilst making use of the in-situ robust network infrastructure.

Solution

The solution installed at ACO Technologies ensured that it is easy for all to use and met their requirements.

POE (Power-Over-Ethernet) Door Controllers were used to minimise the amount of cabling needed, and to utilise their existing wired infrastructure. Mag-Locks were fitted into the existing wooden frames, making sure the modern aesthetic was not compromised. An emergency break-glass was installed on both sides of the door, this was achieved with 2 re settable break glass units with covers and sounders and the relevant infrastructure.

The software used to manage and maintain the solution was installed and commissioned before DWM undertook training to ensure onsite staff were confident in its usage. The expansion of the software usage was also presented – for instance time & attendance, clocking in / out are all features available should the client wish to activate those expansions.
