DWM Overcome coronavirus fears, storms and

travel delays to visit the last ISE in Amsterdam!

News - March 11th 2020

ISE (Integrated Systems Europe) is the worlds largest exhibition for AV and systems integration. Attendance is a must for companies involved in the supply, integration, installation or management of Audio Visual and subsidiary solutions.

DWM were lucky enough to attend the final ISE in Amsterdam, where it has been held for the last 15 years, before moving to Barcelona for the 2021 iteration. Despite some large exhibitors pulling out due to the coronavirus, lengthy delays due to Storm Ciara (outbound), Storm Dennis (inbound!) and associated travel chaos, Marcus White (Account Manager), Rob Munday (Director) and Jonathan Choy (Product Specialist) attended the majority of the show.

Amongst meeting existing suppliers and manufacturers, looking at newly launched technology and trying to understand the technological trends of our industry, we were able to take some of our key clients to visit the show, so they themselves can get hands on with technology we routinely design and install and also meet our suppliers.

One trend which was apparent was that there was a definitive move to software-based solution offerings. As more and more AV is distributed over IP, the endpoints (screens, monitors, etc) become to a degree more agnostic and less of a key and core component of a whole solution offering.

This trend followed through to some of the real innovation we saw, which was the integration of Smart and Intelligent features within systems to aid and enhance user experience, resource and energy saving and automation.

All in all, DWM managed to strengthen relationships with existing contacts, create new relationships with key technology and service providers and ensure our clients were fully aware of the work we put into ensuring DWM are always at the cutting edge of technological innovation.
