POINT-TO-POINT BRIDGES > LASER TECHNOLOGY
It is not always appropriate or cost effective to install fixed Backbone segments such as Fibre Optics or Multicore 1308 Links between separate buildings; sometimes catinery wires and duct routes are not in place or they are impractical to install.
With this in mind the Industry through time, has delivered many products to the market place to fulfil this wireless, building-to-building link issue.
Once again different solutions vary in cost and performance yet DWM have kept Project staff and Engineering teams informed of installation procedures required to implement any wireless building-to-building link.
|
DWM utilise point to point wireless Technology, which requires Line of sight and provides low bandwidth. However over recent years we have found Laser Technology has provided greater speeds of up to 100mbps bandwidth and more recently the ability to support Gigabit speeds.
Laser installations undertaken by DWM are becoming increasingly popular, as our customers become more familiar with this technology and are impressed with the maintenance free performance laser equipment delivers.
DWM have installed the Laser-bit product in Schools, Council’s and the Private Sector.
Laser products offer a high quality and cost effective link solution, which can link buildings over great distances. Our Project staff have access to GPS Technology to perform relevant site surveys and our Network Engineering teams are well drilled in the installation procedures required for this cutting edge technology.
